Rare Earth Metals Inc. Welcomes New Director, CFO
Thunder Bay, ON – January 18, 2011 - Rare Earth Metals Inc (“Rare Earth Metals”, “RA” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE:RA) is pleased to announce that Mr. Clint Barr has joined the Board of Directors of the Company. A qualified Professional Geologist with over 20 years experience from grassroots to advanced projects, Mr. Barr brings to the Company extensive knowledge of various mineral deposit models in both geological as well as political environments. The Company is also pleased to announce that Mr. Evan Asselstine has been appointed Chief Financial Officer for the Company. A Chartered Accountant since 2002, Mr. Asselstine is the CFO for Benton Resources Corp and the Controller for Metals Creek Resources Corp.
The Company also announces that, subject to regulatory approval, it has granted 2,725,000 stock options to directors, officers, employees and consultants of the Company. These options will be exercisable at $0.37 for a period of five (5) years from the date of granting.
